How do I get an entry level developer job?

How To Learn SQL or Databases

Question

I’ve taught myself SQL Server and am trying to find an entry level developer job. It’s very hard to break into the field without having the related job experience. For those coming into this field, do you recommend them going out for the MS certification MCSA for SQL? Do you think it’s beneficial or do course completion certificates do the same thing for you? Granted, I know one costs more than the other, I’m just weighing my options and trying to land my first developer job.

Also, would it benefit me greatly to learn another language before pursuing this field further? Or is it plausible to obtain a job without knowing multiple languages upfront?
